For spirituality, a talisman is used in a variety of ways. Some people use them to amp their energy, for good luck, to tap in or connect to a certain vibration. Some people even use a talisman to shut down energies, such as quieting their intuition. A talisman is chosen by you and energetically charged by you or an element to support you in some way on your spiritual journey.
The most common talismans are stones, necklaces, jewelry, beads, etc. Occasionally I’ll meet someone with an unusual talisman. Last Monday was a good example.
I met with one of my students for a mentor session. Her guides came through and talked about her shoes. First it was straight forward… “You have about 15 pairs of shoes.” Then the information got a little interesting. “You need to wear specific shoes for specific spiritual practices,” I said.
They continued to explain how she could utilize her shoe collection as talismans. Turns out she had already started without being conscious of it. She had purchased a specific pair of shoes that she intended to only wear when she was attending metaphysical fairs. Yep, she was already doing it! They were simply coming through with messages to confirm it for her.
I really enjoyed this bit of information about her shoes. Why? Because I think it is a really cool idea to use shoes as a talisman. I hadn’t thought about it before. If you think about it, they connect us to the earth, they carry us where we walk, they reflect our state of mind or simply are chosen based on where we are going and what we are doing.
To top it off, she loves shoes. Perfect fit I say.
So stay open to how talismans show up in your life and enjoy the process of using them to navigate your path!
